Pat Lock Kamp
'I spent my childhood in the valleys of South Wales leaving to go to Art College where I did a Fine Art Degree, specialising in sculpture. After college I qualified as a teacher and spent the next couple of decades as an art teacher in Birmingham though my heart always remained in Wales.
Every summer holiday was spent in a very remote and primitive cottage in North Wales-so when I retired I was delighted to return to Wales and found another remote and primitive cottage. At last I had time and space to make jewellery using scrap silver, which in itself was often the inspiration of my jewellery which evolved organically.
I love manipulating my silver in various elemental ways seeing it form, develop and come together in a new life'.
